The only problem is that some of these websites pry on the legitimate name that the Government has, as well as the fact that people love free money! For example, if you were able to get money for free, I'm sure you would be interested. Now, if you were told that this money was given out by the Government, I'm certain you would be very interested! However, many dodgy companies and websites have jumped onto this bandwagon and have been trying to charge people huge amounts of money simply to help someone to receive their free grant. In actual fact there are some sites that give out this information for free, simply charging a small postage & packing fee to send out this info.

These adverts all sound very tempting, and the ad-text itself may actually be true, but after visiting their website or company you will no-doubt be asked to cough up a hefty sum of money simply to access their Government Grant guides. The problem with most of these sites is that they don't actually help because they will provide out of date or incorrect information, links or contact details of old or ficticius companies, links to other agencies who charge you yet another fee, no actual help in filling out the application, no customer services or help.

The typical Government Grant website will charge around $100 - $150 for site membership, and this is way too much to pay, and is usually the sign of one of these fly-by-night companies who simply take your money and run. The Grant A Day website is very well organised and laid out, whereas some Government Grant sites like to swamp you with information and scatter it all over the site, in a very annoying manner. However at Grant A Day all the information is concise and nicely presented, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
After joining the site for free (although you have to pay the $2.99 shipping and handling cost) you will be sent a CD in the post, as part of your membership of the site. This CD contains the software which will help you on your quest to obtaining a free grant from the Government.
The Grant A Day site really makes the process very simple. You just join the site, wait a day or so to receive the CD, run the software, and by using the programs along with the information on their website you will soon be able to apply for all kinds of Government Grants.
Although at one point I was finding it hard to understand one of the pieces of information on the application form, I simply logged onto the site and went to the customer services section and asked for help. My request was answered in a matter of minutes, which was very useful. The Grant A Day site provides excellent customer service to all of its members.
The Grant A Day website is a great site which contains really useful information and software, also with some great customer service, but as one of the more-expensive Government Grant sites out of the 3 listed here I've decided to only give it 7.5 stars out of 10.

From all my investigations into Government Grant websites, my ultimate favourite has to be the Grant University website. Not only is it one of the cheapest sites to join (albeit by only a few dollars), the site contains absoultely everything you need in order to succesfully apply for your chosen Government Grants.
The Government Grants site is again free to join although it will cost $1.98 to receive your CD in the post. The CD contains the same kind of software as both the grant websites above, but I find that the Grant University software is far more superior - it is incredibly simple to use, and I found the process of researching, selecting and applying for my grant a very easy one.
The website itself contains realms of helpful information, and the customer services provided were excellent. Although I did encounter 1 or 2 slight problems when I was considering the grant that suited my personal situation, I simply contacted the support department at Grant University and literally 5 minutes later I could move on to the next step.
Out of all of the dodgy Government grant sites that I encountered, and then of course the genuine Government grant sites that I listed above, the Grant University site is my overall favourite due to its simplicity and support. Within just a few hours you could have selected a grant that suits your needs, and could be well on the way to receive your funding as well.
